Perkowski, Pearl Star Again at Western New England Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Lauren Perkowski and Jacob Pearl both posted top five finishes at the Western New England University Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Women's Results

Perkowski covered the 6K course in 22:12, good for third place out of 198 runners.  Lynne Hebert finished 27th in 24:12, with Christina Martin was in 30th in 24:17.  Skyler Gauthier was the next Owl across, in 46th place in 24:59, while Alexis Gauthier was right behind, with the same time of 24:59.  Sarah Bialkin was in 88th place in 26:29.  Hannah Rieders from Mount Holyoke College was the individual medalist in 21:56, and the Lyons also took home the team medal with 40 points.  Keene State totalled 147 points for seventh place.

Men's Results

Pearl was fifth overall on the 8K course, in 26:31.  Robby St. Laurent was in 31st place in 27:58, and Zach Coburn was 51st in 28:30.   Dylan Richards finished 61st in 28:54.  Jacob Hickey of the University of New England was the individual winner in 25:43, while Bridgewater State won the team event with 64 points.

Next up for the Owls are the Little East Conference Championships, held at UMass Dartmouth on November 2.   The Keene State women are the defending conference champions, and Perkowski is the reigning indivdual champion and LEC Runner of the Year.
