PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Keene State College softball sophomore outfielder Cassie Woods (Mystic, Conn.) was named to the All-Little East Conference First Team when the league's all-conference results were announced Wednesday afternoon.
Woods' honor comes on the heels of a stellar campaign that saw her finish with a .435 batting average and 16 RBI over 33 games, which included 12 multi-hit games. She reached base at a league-leading .551 clip, and her average was the second highest in the conference. Woods also walked 14 times and hit 12 doubles, 10 of which came in a 17-game span from April 10 to the end of the season. In that time, she got a hit in every game but two and hit .562 with a .661 on-base percentage.
This marks the first time since 2017 that KSC had a first team all-conference selection, as Molly St. Germain, Shae Crosby, Kayla Votto, and Jenny Galavotti all received the honor in that season.
