WILLIMANTIC, CONN. 1/12/13 – The Keene State College women's swim team had the fastest times in all 12 individual events and both relays, going 1-2 in 12 events and 1-2-3 in three events on the way to posting a 175-82 Little East Conference victory over Eastern Conn. State in Willimantic, Conn. on Saturday.
Keene State, which improves its dual meet mark to 6-1, has a perfect 35-0 record against LEC teams since joining the conference in 1997-98.
Sophomore Diana Pimer (West Haven, Conn.) won the 400 individual medley (4:47.21), the 200 breaststroke (2:29.78) and the 100 individual medley (1:03.16)
Individual winners for KSC included freshman Brianna Laliberte (Candia, N.H.) in the 50 back (28.86), sophomore Caitlyn Shea (Salem, N.H.) in the 200 fly (2:21.84), freshman Alison Bartlett (Stratham, N.H.) in the 50 free (25.150 and junior Stephanie Murray (Haverhill, Mass.) in the 200 back (214.62)
Laliberte, Shea, Pimer, and Murray teamed up to win the 400 medley relay (4:11.22) and the foursome of sophomore Taylor DaSilva (Stony Brook, N.Y.), Bartlett, Houser and Laliberte won the 200 free relay (1:42.21).
Freshman Katie King won the only event for Eastern (3-1) against Keene State (6-1). King won the 50 yard breaststroke in a time of 32.56 and also had the second-fastest time in the 100 individual medley (1:06.05
Keene State men and women host Conn. College in a dual meet on Wednesday (1 p.m.) at the Spaulding Gym Pool.
