Providence, RI 4/13/02 - Keene State College defeated Rhode Island College 17-5 in a Little East Conferencve women's lacrosse game played Saturday in Providence.

Michelle Mason (Fairport, N.Y.) and Erin Mehner (Stamford, CT) led the way for the Owls with six goals each. Mason team-leading goal total is now 34. Natalie Kent Jamie Walsh scored two goals and Michelle Roy had the other KSC tally.

The outcome of the game was never in doubt as the Owls took a 11-4 halftime lead.

Making her first start of the season in goal Jaime Litch had two saves for KSC.

KSC will face rival Plymouth State on Thursday (4 p.m.).
