KEENE, N.H.4/3/02 - Natalie Kent (Billerica, MA.) had four goals
and two assists and freshman Michelle Mason (Fairport, NY) finished
with three goals and a school record five assists to lead the Keene
State College women's lacrosse team to a 15-1 non-conference
victory over Salem State College in Keene on Thursday.
It was the third straight win for KSC (3-2) while Salem State
goes to 1-4.
The Owls raced out to a 4-0 lead 10 minutes into the game on the
way to building a 10-0 halftime cushion.
Brianne Manley (Nashua, NH) added three goals, Erin Boudreau
(Framingham, MA.) had two goals and Andrea Byrne (North Haven,
Conn), Michelle Roy (Keene, NH) and Liz Maddocks (Essex, Vt.) each
had single tallies to round out the scoring for KSC. Becky
Budynkiewicz (Hampton, MA.) score the lone goal for the Vikings.
Colleen McSweeney (East Longmeadow, MA) (0 saves) and Jamie
Litch (Addison, Vt.) both saw action in goal for the Owls. Becky
Budynkiewicz (nine saves) and Ashleyne Alexis (Malden, MA.) (seven
saves) each played a half in goal for Salem State.
KSC will host UMA-Dartmouth in its first Little East game of the
season on Saturday (2:30 p.m.).
