'NORTH DARMOUTH, MA. 9/21/02 - The Keene State College men's
cross country team placed sixth at the UMA-Dartmouth Invitational
on Saturday.
The KSC men finished with 159 points. Coast Guard (62
points) captured the team championship in the 31 team field.
The top finisher for KSC was Dave Raymond. The sophomore from
Princeton, MA., placed seventh with a time of 25:47.25 on the fast
five mile course. Also scoring for the Owls were Ryan Gough
(Billerica, MA.) (27th/26;35.54), Paul Phelps (Pittsfield, MA.)
(39th/26:51.84), Casey Cole (Southbury, CT) (40th/26:54.71) and
Chris Kuil (Concord, N.H.) (46th/27:01.10).
Trinity's Ryan Bak won the race with a time of 24;39.17.
Stephanie Gibson (Sanbornton, N.H.) was the top finisher for the
KSC women. She placed 13th overall with a time of 18:31 on the 3.1
mile course. Karen Jordan (Enfield, N.H.) was right behind in
17th position (18:42).
Team scores for the women were not available.
KSC will compete next Saturday at the Iona Meet of Champions in
New York.
