'SPRINGFIELD, MASS. 5/7/03 – Playing in its first-ever
post-season tournament, the seventh seeded Keene State College
women's lacrosse team were defeated 12-6 by host and second
seed Springfield College at Benedum Field.
The Pride (11-6) jumped out to a 8-1 lead in the first
half and held on despite being outscored 5-4 by the Owls in the
second half.
Lauren Saunders (Fremont, N.H.) and Kristal Lundegaard (Babylon,
N.Y.) had two goals each and Natalie Kent (Billerica, Mass.) and
Erin Mehner (Stamford, Conn.) also scored for KSC.
Erin Looney and Holly Carmody led SC with three goals each.
Jamie Litch (Addison, Vt.) finished with nine saves for KSC
while Emily Boosahda had six saves for the Pride.
Keene State concludes its season with a 9-8 record.
