'SPRINGFIELD, MASS.  3/25/04 - The Keene State College women's lacrosse team dropped a 14-8 non-conference game to Springfield College on Thursday.

The Owls (2-2) got off to a slow start and trailed 7-3 at halftime.

Natalie Kent (Billerica, Mass.) had three goals to lead the Owls.  Erin Mehner (Stamford, Conn.) finished the game with a pair of goals while Kristal Lundegaard (Babylon, N.Y.), Lauren Saunders (Fremont, N.H.), and Michelle Mason (Fairport, N.Y.) added one goal each. Colleen Murphy (Mansfield, Mass.), Mason, Saunders, and Lundegaard had an assist in the game.

Jamie Litch (Addison, Vt.) finished the game with 11 saves for the Owls.

Springfield College, which defeated KSC in a first-round ECAC Tournament game last year, improves to 2-1.

Keene State plays at Lasell College on Saturday (1 p.m.).
