'RINDGE, N.H. 3/30/04 - Michelle Mason (Fairport, N.Y.) had five
goals to lead the Keene State College women's lacrosse team to a
come-from-behind 13-11 victory over Division II Franklin Pierce
College in Rindge, N.H., on Tuesday.
Keene State improves to 4-2 while FPC falls to 2-4.
Trailing 3-0 early in the game, and 7-5 at halftime, the Owls
took the lead for good on a goal by Mason that gave KSC a 9-8 lead
midway in the second half.
Jamie Litch (Addison, Vt.), who tied her career-high 16 saves,
made several outstanding stops that kept KSC in the game the rest
of the way.
Colleen Murphy (Mansfield, Mass.) scored three goals while
Kristal Lundegaard (Babylon, N.Y.), Erin Mehner (Stamford, Conn.),
Lauren Saunders (Fremont, N.H.), Alex Manzin (Avon, Conn.), and
Genna Florkowski (East Northport, N.Y.) added one goal each.
Lundegaard added two assists and Murphy, Mason, and Mehner
had one assist each.
Alissa Silverman (Sandwich, Mass.) had seven goals to lead the
Ravens.
Keene State hosts UMass-Dartmouth in its first Little east
Conference game of the season on Saturday (1 p.m.).
