'KEENE, N.H. 4/17/04 - Michelle Mason (Fairport, N.Y.) had five
goals and an assist to lead the Keene State College women's
lacrosse team to an 18-8 Little East Conference victory over
Western Connecticut State University at Owl Athletic Complex on
Saturday. Mason now leads the Owls with 37 goals.
KSC improves to 8-3 (3-1 LEC), while the Colonials fall to 3-9
(1-3 LEC).
Keene State scored the first nine goals of the game, and led
12-4 at the break.
Natalie Kent (Billerica, Mass.) finished with three goals, while
Colleen Murphy (Mansfield, Mass.) and Kristal Lundegaard (Babylon,
N.Y.) chipped in three goals apiece for the Owls. Liz
Maddocks (Essex, Vt.), Steph Georgevits (Concord, N.H.), and Lauren
Saunders (Fremont, N.H.) each added a goal in the victory.
Jessica Hauser (New Milford, Conn.) led the Colonials with three
goals. Ellie Champagne (Newtown, Conn.) scored a pair of
goals, and Jillian Brown (Northport, N.Y.), Cuyler Rush (New
Milford, Conn.), and Erica Murphy (Weymouth, Mass.) added single
tallies for Western Connecticut.
Jamie Litch (Addison, Vt.), who had an easy day in goal,
finished with two saves for the Owls. Melissa Perry (Danbury,
Conn.) made 14 saves and Shayna Golet (Newington, Conn.) turned
aside one shot, split time in goal for the Colonials.
Keene State travels to Colby-Sawyer for a non-conference game on
Tuesday (4 p.m.)
