'SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.  10/21/06 - Breanne Lucey (Keene, N.H.) and Jennifer Adams (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) finished one-two to lead the Keene State College women's cross country team to the RPI Invitational championship in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. on Saturday.

Keene State, ranked 13th in Division III, had 47 points to finish ahead of Ithaca College (72 points), and St. Lawrence (92 points) in the 18-team field.

Lucey captured the championship with a time of 17:31 on the 3.1 mile course.  Adams was right behind in second place with a time of 17:36.

Stephanie Westcott (Bellows Falls, Vt.) finished sixth with a personal best time of 18:15.  Sophie Holly (Ledyard, Conn.), who also had a PR time of 18:48, placed in 16th place.   Sarah Miller (Walpole, N.H.) placed 22nd (19:00) to round out the Owls top performers. 

The Keene State placed third in the 20-team men's field with 128 points.  RIT won the title with 65 points.

Kevin Kelleher (Rocky Hill, Conn.) led the Owls with a seventh place finish (25:53) on the five mile course.  Brock Welch (Merrimack, N.H.) was 14th with a time of 26:24.  Other top finishes for KSC included Patrick Davis (Wethersfield, Conn.) (26th/26:46), Jared Samuel (Londonderry, N.H.) (31st/26:54), and Casey Driscoll (Salem, Mass.) (58th/27:25).

The Owls host the LEC/Alliance Championship next Saturday.
