'WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. 11/4/06 - The Keene State College
men's cross country team raced to 12th place finish at the ECAC
Championships held at Mt. Greylock High School in Williamstown,
Mass. on Saturday.
Keene State didn't have a complete women's team at the meet.
The Owls, who finished with 400 points, ran its sub-varsity
runners at the meet. Dan Johnson (North Kingstown, R.I.) led
the Owls with a 68th place finish (28:04) on the 8K course.
He was followed to the finish line by Sean Gavaghan (Monroe, Conn.)
(72nd/28:10) and Patrick Craven (North Kingstown, R.I.)
(76th/28:12).
Colin Sanders of Vassar won the race in a time of 26:06.
Williams won the team title with 31 points.
Amanda Reynolds (Maplewood, N.J.) was the top finisher for the
Owl women. She finished in 90th place with a time of 25:45 on the
6K course. KSC freshman Meghan Kane (Derry, N.H.) was 116th with a
time of 26:27.
Caitlin Quinn of Coast Guard won the women's race in a time of
22:57. Amhesrt won the team championship with 37 points.
Keene State will compete next Saturday at the NCAA Regionals at
Springfield, Mass.
