'KEENE, N.H. 09/2/06 - An alum and a current member of the Owl
women's team raced to wins at the Keene State Alumni cross
country meet held at Owl Athletic Complex on Saturday.
Josh Ferenc (Westmoreland, N.H.), a former All-American, won the
men's championship with a time of 15:51 on the 5,000-meter
course. A pair of current KSC runners, freshman Jared Samuel
(Londonderry, N.H.) (16:07) and Kevin Kelleher (Rocky Hill, Conn.)
(16:08) followed him to the finish line.
Jennifer Adams (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), an All-American last
fall, took women's honors with a time of 12:04 on the two mile
course. Stephanie Westcott (Bellows Falls, Vt.) (12:14) and
alum Shannon O'Brien (Tilton, N.H.) (12:20) round out the top three
finishers.
Keene State opens its season next Saturday at the Dartmouth
Invitational.
