College senior Peter Najem (Derry, N.H.) improved
his already solid time in the 800 meters on Thursday night with an
automatic NCAA qualifying and new KSC record time of 1:50.79 en
route to his first place finish at the Oneonta State May Meet.
Najem becomes just the third athlete in Division III to hit the
automatic time this year in the 800 meter event.
Senior Jared Samuel (Londonderry, N.H.)
finished third in the 5k with a time of 15:06.42.
On the women's side, junior Amy Knoblock
(Plymouth, Mass.) won the 1500 meter race with a time of
4:38.91. Sophomore Andrea Walsh (Bolton, Conn.)
finished second in the steeplechase event with an NCAA provisional
qualifying time of 11:01.44.
The Owls will travel to Berea, Ohio to Baldwin Wallace for the
NCAA Track and Field Championships starting on Thursday.
