MANSFIELD, CONN 4/9/11 – The Keene State College women's lacrosse team lost to Eastern Conn. State Univ. 15-14 in a four overtime marathon in Mansfield, Conn. on Saturday.

After a goal by Jill Kirk (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) put the Owls up 14-13 in the first overtime, the Warriors tied the game on a goal by Daniella Marchitto in the second overtime.  Following a scoreless third overtime, Taylor Buchanan netted the game-winner 57 seconds into the fourth overtime to give ECSU the victory.

Keene State led 8-6 at halftime.  Ashley Prizio put the Warriors up 13-12 at the 7:16 mark of the second half.  Junior Caitlyn Corace (Mahopac, N.Y.) sent the game into overtime with a goal with 32 second to play in regulation. 

Kirk finished with four goals and three assists to lead the Owls (4-5, 1-1 LEC).  Sophomore Lauren Brown (Agawam, Mass.) and Corace each finished with three goals.

Prizio finished with six goals for ECSU.

Freshman Erin Taylor (Brewster, N.Y.) made 12 saves for KSC. Nancy Ibrahim stopped 13 shots for the Warriors.

Keene State hosts Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday.
