CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - 5/12/12 - Seniors
Paige Mills (Keene, N.H.) and Kaevin Hoyt
(Newtown, Conn.) led the Keene State College track and
field teams on Friday night with a pair of third place finishes,
while junior Maggie Fitter (Branford, Conn.) led
KSC on Saturday with a sixth place finish, as the Owls competed at
NEICAAA's at M.I.T.
Mills had a season-best time in the 5,000 meter race on Friday
night, crossing the finish line in third place in a time of 17:23,
goo enough for third place.
Later on, Hoyt took third place in the 10,000 meter race with a
time of 31:15.70.
On Saturday, Fitter finished the 800 meters in a time of
2:12.25.
The women, who scored nine points, finished the Open New England
Championships in 25th place. The men took home six points and
finished in 28th.
The track teams will be in action on Thursday and Friday, as
they will head to RPI for ECAC Championships.
