Keene State Men Second at KSC Invitational

KEENE, N.H.--Hayden Patterson finished third overall as the Keene State College men's cross country team finished in second place at the Keene State Invitationa on an overcast and rainy Saturday.

In a race where less than 10 seconds separated the top three competitors, Patterson crossed the finish line third with a time of 26:39.  Ryan Brady was right behind in fourth place, in 26:46, and Philip Parent (7th, 27:20) and Ben MacDonald (10th, 27:33) also finished in the top 10. 

Mark Rabasco finshed out the KSC scoring contingent with an 11th place finish in 27:37.  

The Owls finished with a total of 35 points, in second place behind Brandeis University, who also placed four runners in the top 10 and won the meet with 30 points.  

Brandeis junior Jarret Harrigan won the individual medal, finishing the 8K course in 26:33.

KSC will be back on the trails on October 11, at the Open New England Championships.
