SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Ryan Widzgowski posted an ECAC qualifying time in the 1,500 meter run at the Yellowjacket Invitational at American International College on Saturday.

Racing against competition from all Divisions I, II, and III, Widzgowski won the event in 3:55.39.  Ben Keach also punched a ticket for the ECAC Championships in the shot put, with a throw of 14.80 meters to finish second overall and first amongst Division III competitors.  Keach also placed second in the discus throw, with a toss of 42.48 meters, while Angus Fisher was fourth in 40.26.  The two were tops among Division III competitors in that event as well.

Overall, Keene State finished in 10th place with 31 points.  The University of Vermont won the meet with 109.50 points, while the U.S. Coast Guard Academy was the highest placing Division III school with 39 points.

The Keene State women were led by a fourth place showing in the pole vault from Lucia Martin, who had a leap of 2.90 meters and won in a jump-off against Amy Auclair of Westfield State.  Sarah DiTonno was ninth in the shotput with a throw of 10.87 meters and seventh in the hammer (39.29 meters).  Ashley Rozzi was sixth in the javelin, throwing 33.88 meters.

The Owl women placed 15th overall, with 16 points.  Vermont also won the women's portion of the meet, with 177.5 points, while Tufts was the highest Division III school with 77.5 points.
