WESTFIELD, Mass.--Junior Ben Keach broke the school record in the shotput at the Open New England Championships at Westfield State University on Saturday.
Keach threw the shotput 15.14 meters, good for 10th place in the multi-division field. Keach also finished ninth in discus, with a throw of 45.16 meters, and 14th in the javelin at 53.74 meters. Dante Hill qualified for the ECAC Championships in the shotput, throwing 14.39 meters.
Mark Rabasco ran the 10,000 meters in 33:02.43, for 16th place.
Katelyn Terry competed in two events for the KSC women, running the 800 meters in 2:21.02 and the 400 meter dash in 1:00.16. Hannah Doolittle finished the 10,000 meters in 40:16.19, while Samantha Goldsmith ran the steeplechase in 11:19.49, and Kaley Mientkewicz ran the same event in 11:50.66.
Karisa Bergmann threw the shotput 11.46 meters, and Nicole Marrero threw the javelin 35.40 meters.
The final tune-up before the NCAA Championships will begin next weekend, at the ECAC Championships at RPI.
