KEENE, N.H. - The Keene State cross country teams began their season with a win over Clark University Friday afternoon at Owl Stadium.
On the men's side, freshmen Iid Shiekh-Yusuf and Matt Marchand placed first and second respectively with times of 16:31.73 and 17:14.96. Tyler Dechane (6th), Kody Parrott (8th) and Matt Dudley (10th) rounded out the top-ten for the Owls.
The women took the top four spots and placed eight out of the top ten as Samanatha Goldsmith led the way with a time of 11:34.8, followed by Carli Davis (11:43.0), Lindsay Szuch (11:56.4) and Molly Schaefer (12:04.2).
Both teams host the KSC Alumni Invitational tomorrow beginning at 11:00 a.m.
