GREENSBORO, N.C.--Senior Ali Bartlett swam the second fastest time in school history, placing fourth overall in the 50 freestyle at the NCAA Division III Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Bartlett, who came in with the second fastest time in the country at 22.92, placed seventh in the preliminary race this morning in 23.21. Moving on to the evening's championship final, Bartlett finished in 22.93 to pick up the second All-American honor of her career.
Classmate Greg Youngstrom finished in a tie for 17th in the men's 50 free in 20.55 in the preliminary race, forcing him into a swim off with Alex Hardwick of Emory University for the first alternate place, which Youngstrom won in 20.48.
The championships continue with the 200 free relay, where the quadrant of Ryan Boraski, Youngstrom, Chris Barriss, and Cole Hogg are seeded eighth.
