WESTFIELD, Mass.--Westfield State University scored the final four goals of the first half en route to an 11-8 win over Keene State College in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Tuesday night at Alumni Field.

Tale of the Tape

• Jenna Bellano led Keene State with three goals.  Kaitlin Nolan had two goals and two assists, while Kelly Chadnick, Samantha Ballard, and Taylor Farland all had one apiece, and Taylor Graf had two assists.
• Alison Argiro made nine saves for Keene State, while Westfileld State goalie Mimi Khampaeng had 12 stops.
• Keene State outshot Westfield State 29-25, while the two teams each had 14 groundballs. 
• Blair Smith and Stephanie Godek each had three goals for Westfield State.

First Half Highlights

• The two teams alternated the first four goals of the game, as Smith scored first for Westfield State and Bellano countered for KSC.  Godek put the Owls up 2-1 with 27:11 left but Bellano answered again less than two minutes later to tie the score.
• Westfield State nudged in front 4-2 thanks to goals from Samantha Coyle and Godek.  WSU kept the lead at 5-3 before Bellano and Farland scored back-to-back goals to tie the score at five with 17:45 left in the half.
• Godek scored with 16:10 remaining in the half, the first of four straight for Westfield State as the Owls led 9-5 at halftime.

Second Half Highlights

• Another goal from Smith put Westfield State up 10-5 two minutes into the second half.  
• KSC got goals from Nolan and Chadnick five minutes apart, the second of which came with 20:30 on the clock, to get within 10-7.  Nolan netted another with 14:14 left to make it a 10-8 game.
• Westfield State's Samantha Lungarini got the final goal of the game with 11:51 left, and Keene State could not get closer.
