CORTLAND, N.Y.--The historic season for the Keene State College women's lacrosse team came to an end with a 17-1 loss to Cortland State in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday afternoon.

First Half Highlights

  • Gentile scored the first goal of the game nearly three minutes in.  Keene State kept Cortland off the scoreboard for the next 10 minutes, but Gentile scored again at the 18:20 mark to double the advantage.
  • The Red Dragons tacked on five more goals over the next 10 minutes and led 10-0 at halftime.

Second Half Highlights

  • Cortland continued to score in the second half, getting three goals in the first 6:17 of the second half to open up a 13-0 advantage.
  • The Owls got on the board with 2:20 left in the game, as Farland scored on a free position effort after Cortland's Dana Sanford was awarded a yellow card.
