KEENE, N.H.--Both the Keene State College men's and women's cross country teams finished fourth at the Keene State College Invitational at Owl Athletic Complex on a rainy Saturday.
Men's Race
Keene State was paced on the 8K course by Phil Parent, who finished 11th overall in 26:50. Ian Connell was 14th in 27:11, just a second ahead of Cam Giordano, who was 15th in 27:12. Ben MacDonald was 24th in 27:47, and Tyler DeChane rounded out the KSC scorers in a 28th place time of 28:03.
Other KSC runners included Jackson Brannen (29th, 28:06), Gavin Thomas (30th, 28:13), Zach Coburn (59th, 29:57), and Christopher Pratt (69th, 31:58).
Women's Race
The Keene State women were led by Kate Lynch, who finished ninth overall on the 5K course in 19:36. Christina Martin was the next Owl across the line in 20:07 to finish 15th, followed by Laura Dawson, who was 26th in 20:36, Mila Barrera (31st, 20:57), and Brittany Gravallese (32nd, 20:58).
The Keene State contingent was completed by Emily Jarka (37th, 21:14), Emma Brown (48th, 22:09), Emily Ehrenstein (49th, 22:11), Abby Touchet (50th, 22:12), Chloe Page (53rd, 22:59),and Alexis Cooke (54th, 23:02),
Brandeis University was the winner in both the men's and women's races. Keene State returns to action on October 7 at the Open New England Championships at Franklin Park in Roxbury, Mass.
