MEDFORD, Mass.--The outdoor track and field season got underway for the Keene State College track and field team at the Snowflake Invitational at Tufts University on Saturday.

Men's Highlights

• Jared Hannon qualified for the New England Division III Championships with a leap of 6.53 meters to finish fourth overall.
• Hannon was also part of the KSC "A" Relay team that finished in 13th place; Hannon, along with Brandon Castor, Anthony Jennings, and Alex Medina finished in 3:40.62.  The Owls' "B" relay of Clinton Mungeta, Brendan Cacciola, Christopher Pratt, and Zach Coburn were 14th in 3:44.78.

Women's Highlights

• Nicole De Almeida was 12th in the 200 meter dash in 27.41, while Alana Olendorf was 12th in the steeplechase in 12:41.68.  
• Haleigh Therrien was 15th in the discus, throwing 29.76 meters.
• Taylor Bisaillon was 11th in the javelin throw, throwing 31.84 meters for 11th place, while teammate Melissa Wydra was 15th with a toss of 29.52 meters.
