CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--George Colarullo led the way with a strong performance on the 3-meter board as the Keene State College swimming and diving teams opened up action at the MIT Invitational at Zesiger Pool.

Women's Highlights

The 800 free relay grouping of Samantha Dickinson, Kristyn Simoneau, Molly O'Connor, and Jaelin Jang were 13th in 8:09.07, while the Owls' second relay unit of Paige Carey, Emily Rogers, Patsy Ciampi, and Laura Chaffee was 19th in 8:40.49.

Carey was KSC's top finisher in the 1,650 free, in 19:34.17, with Emily Rogers (19:57.18), O'Connor (20:02.32), Erin Morley (20:18.64), Ciampi (20:27.33), Jordan Williams (20:28.02), Kim Theleen (20:30.64), and Laura Chaffee (20:59.01) also placing.

Keene State is in seventh place with 22 points after the first day of competition.

Men's Highlights

George Colarullo was fourth in the 3-meter dive, scoring 201.55, 

The men's 800 free relay kicked off with Zach Payne, Quint Kimmel, Jacob Peters, and Eric King finishing in 14th place in 7:25.72.  Kimmel was also 11th in the 1,650 free, in 17:18.74.  Cam Stinchfield (17:39.00) and Bryce Bowie (20:12.41) also placed in the mile.

The Owls are in fourth place, having totalled 72 points on day one of the competition.
