NEW HAVEN, Conn.--Skyler Gauthier broke a six year old school record in the heptathlon as the Keene State College track and field team competed at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships at Southern Connecticut State on Saturday.

Men's Highlights

Angel Ramirez ran the preliminaries of the 100 meter dash in a season best 11.06, while Jared Hannon, Alex Medina, Anthony Jennings, and Brandon Castor made up the 4x400 meter relay that finished 13th in a season best 3:24.79.  

Women's Highlights

Gauthier totalled up 4,370 points to nip Janel Haggerty's record of 4,367 set in 2013.   She did it by running the 100 meter hurdles in 15.85, completing the high jump in 1.48 meters, throwing the shot put 9.08 meters, running the 200 meter hurdles in 26.82, going 5.25 meters in the long jump, throwing the javelin 30.36 meters, and running the 800 meters in 2:27.01 to finish seventh overall.   She set personal bests in the 100 hurdles, long jump, javelin, and 800 meters.

Alexis Gauthier also competed in the heptathlon, finishing in 15.42 in the 100 hurdles, leaping 1.42 meters in the high jump, throwing the shot put 7.53 meters, running the 200 meters in 27.24, going 5.04 meters in the long jump, throwing the javelin 21.71 meters, and running the 800 meters in 2:36.27 to total up 3,889 points and set personal records in the hurdles, long jump, and 800 meters.  

Lauren Perkowski was the fastest Division III runner in the 10,000 meters, in 37:19.94 for a second place overall finish.  Nicole De Almeida finished the preliminaries of the 200 meter dash in 26.70, and the 400 meter hurdles in 1:07.04.  Amanda Deppert ran the 200 meter prelims in 26.61. Both De Almeida and Deppert set personal bests in the 200 meters, while Taylor Bisaillon threw the javelin 32.35 meters.
