NEW HAVEN, Conn..--
Sarah Ames and
Jacob Pearl both had strong outings at the Conn College/Caroline Grape Invitational at Harkness Memorial State Park on Saturday.
Women's Results
Freshman
Sarah Ames was the first Owl over the line in the women's 6K race, in 24:42.3, for 103rd place overall.  Next was
Grace Furlong, who was in 24:55.1, followed by
Hannah Jones (26:41.7),
Aurora Couto (27:25.3), and
Juliana Yialiades (28:40.8).
Also running for the Owls were
Anna Logan (29:03.7),
Autumn Boisvert (30:01.6), and
Rhea Votano (31:06.4).
Keene State was 24th out of 26 teams; Tufts' Danielle Page won the individual race in 21:02.1, while Williams College scored 74 points to win the team title.
Men's Results
Junior
Jacob Pearl led the way with a 64th place finish in 26:25.7, while senior Robert St. Laurent was next in 27:32.6.Â
Ben Harley (29:15.9),
Cam Giordano (29:39.4), and
Zander Egervari (31:09.2) completed the Owl scorers.
Additionally, taking the course for the Owls were
Ted Rockwell (33:13.2) and
Ethan Holcomb (33:24.6).  Keene State finished in 23rd place out of 26 teams. Â
Williams won the team title with a score of 37; the Ephs' Aidan Ryan won the individual race in 23:52.9.
The Owls are off until October 30, when they will head to Castleton University for the LEC Championship.
