CASTLETON, Vt.--
Jacob Pearl and Robert St. Laurent both posted top-10 finishes as the Keene State College men's cross country team finished in fifth place at the LEC Championships at Castleton University on Saturday.
Pearl traversed the 8K course in 27:10 to finish in a tie for seventh place, earning First Team All-LEC honors. St. Laurent was ninth in the field, just seconds behind in 27:19. Both earned All-LEC awards.
Next up for Keene State was Cameron Giordano, who was in 27th in 29:02, followed by
Ben Harley (32nd, 29:37),
Zander Egervari (41st, 30:39),
Ethan Holcomb (53rd, 32:10), Sam Hennedy (56th, 32:59), and
Ted Rockwell (63rd, 33:59).
Southern Maine nipped Eastern Connecticut State to win the team title by a single point; James Cannon of UMass Boston was the individual winner in 26:11.
Keene State returns to running on Nov. 13, when they travel to Franklin Park in Roxbury, Mass., for the NCAA Regional Race.
