ROXBURY, Mass.--Junior
Jacob Pearl just missed out on All-Region honors as the 2021 season concluded for the Keene State College cross country teams at the NCAA East Regional at Franklin Park on Saturday.
Pearl covered the 8K course in 27:11.6, good for 38th place overall; the top 35 finishers receive All-Region honors. Robert St. Laurent was 60th in 28::05.6, and
Cam Giordano was 99th overall in 29:04.4.
Ben Harley (123rd, 29:48.2),
Zander Egervari (162nd, 31:01.3),
Ethan Holcomb (188th, 32:09.5), and Sam Hennedy (192nd, 32:26.1) completed the Owl runners.
Keene State was 15th overall out of 33 teams, with 474 points. MIT won the team title by placing six runners in the top 10; Colby College's Tyler Morris was the individual winner in 25:00.6.
Meanwhile, on the women's side, Keene State got a top-60 performance from freshman
Sarah Ames in 25:17.2 to lead KSC to a 21st place finish.
Hannah Jones was 87th in 26:23.8, and Elizabeth Breton was 139th in 28:11.2.
Juliana Yialiades was 154th in 28:36.2, while
Autumn Boisvert (175th, 29:44.4),
Sara Christian (178th, 29:55.4), and
Aurora Couto (194th, 31:38.4) finished out the KSC contingent.
The Owls will gear up for the start of the indoor track and field season, beginning on December 4 at Smith College.
