How it Happened
Eastern Connecticut would be the first to tally in the contest when the Warriors attacker Jessie Pyrek-Bennett collected her 28th goal of the season. Pyrek-Bennett took a pass from Kaylee Dorbish and fired a shot past Owls keeper Haley Terva to give Eastern the 1-0 lead. Little did ECSU know, this would end up being their one and only lead of the contest as Keene State came storming back and scored seven straight goals, all within the first half. Mindy St. Marie opened the scoring with a free position goal for the Owls which was followed up by goals from Brooke Ellis, Halie Ratajack, and Ali Daisy. Ratajack collected the next two goals for KSC, one by the way of the free position putting the Owls ahead 6-1 just 12 minutes into the game. Before Eastern was able to collect their next goal, sophomore Jackie DeAngelis netted her second of the year giving KSC an additional goal on the board to take the 7-1 lead.

The Warriors mounted a small comeback by scoring the next two in the contest when Caroline Stent ripped two goals in 2:20 to give the Warriors a small piece of momentum midway through the first half. Mindy St. Marie would stop the Warriors small run and net her second of the afternoon and fourth overall on the season to give the Owls an 8-3 lead. St. Marie would tally again in the first half, as well did Haile Ratajack, Ali Daisy, and Megan Gorham to give the Owls a big 13-5 advantage at the end of the first half.

Keene State's scoring tear wouldn't stop in the first half as they continued to find the back of the net in the second half scoring the first five goals of the half. Haile Ratajack would continue to add to her career best in goals, netting her 20th in the sequence. Senior midfielder Megan Gorham would net her second career hat trick in the sequence as well. Keene and Eastern exchanged the final four goals of the afternoon, with Brigid Casey adding the last goal of the game for Keene State, getting the Owls to the 20-goal mark for the first time since April 17, 2019 against Castleton University. Ratajack now has 20 goals for herself on the campaign, adding four assists. Ratajack also scored six goals in the previous game at UMass-Dartmouth.
