Box Score CASTLETON, Vt.- The Keene State women's lacrosse team has now won their last five Little East Conference games after dropping their only non-conference game of the season as well as their first conference game of the season, defeating the Castleton University Spartans from a snowy and wet Spartan Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. Brigid Casey continued to tear up the score sheet with Daisy collecting six goals and added two assists. Her teammate netted four goals and tallied five assists in the 16-4 win over Castleton. The Owls are in sole possession of second place in the Little East Conference with today's win.

How it Happened
For the fourth time in seven games on the season, KSC surrendered the first goal of the contest to their opponent. Freshman Madelyn Cote picked up her second goal of the season on a pass from sophomore Maddie Brasser who picks up her first career assist to give the Spartans an early 1-0 lead. Keene State would respond quickly as just about four minutes later
Brigid Casey would dump the ball into the back of the goal on an assist from
Brooke Ellis to give the Owls their first tally of the contest.

Brigid Casey on the scoresheet, picking up goals for the Owls to give them an early lead. With 18:03 to play in the first half, the senior to freshman combination worked out for KSC as

Hannah Dworkin open and Dworkin made no mistake about putting away her first collegiate to give KSC a 5-1 lead.
Keene State would score seven straight before Castleton was able to get on the board next as Daisy and Casey each found the back of the net for the Owls before Castleton did again. The Spartans leading goal scoring, Kimberly McCarthy would stop the KSC scoring streak as she picked up her 23
rd goal of the season. Following the McCarthy goal, KSC would go on another streak of goals, this time picking up five straight to give the Owls the huge margin.
Haile Ratajack, the Owls leading goal scorer, would pick up her first of the afternoon with 9:42 to play in the first half.
Ali Daisy would tally the next three for KSC, giving her five on the snowy afternoon. The Spartans and Owls would flip-flop goals in the final two minutes with Ratajack picking up her second of the afternoon and 30
th of the season to give KSC the commanding 12-4 lead heading into the break.
The second half moved along like much of the first did with Keene State dominating in all facets of the game.
Brigid Casey would open second half scoring on a free position goal, notching her 21
st goal of the season and fourth and final of the game. KSC would also get goals in the half from

Shannon Weisensee to give the Owls the 17-4 lead. At the 11:39 mark of the contest, goalkeeper
Haley Terva made a save on Aubra Linn of the Spartans and that would be all for the contest as the game was called due to weather. Keene State would claim victory 16-4 and have won their last five games and last six overall against Castleton.
Brigid Casey led the team in points coming away with four goals and five assists while
Ali Daisy was right behind her scoring six times and adding two assists in the win.
Inside the Crease
- Keene State dominated much of the play from the early goings on the afternoon, out shooting Castleton in the nearly 49 minutes of game 36-22. Keene State also scooped 34 ground balls, led by Shannon Weisensee who had nine of those to lead all players in the game.
- KSC's Brigid Casey, who picked up her 100th career point in an Owls uniform against Rhode Island College last week, picked up a season high nine points for the Owls in the win. Casey now has 40 points (21 G, 19 A) on the season, tops on her team.
- Senior forward Ali Daisy picked up a season high in points as well on the afternoon with eight. Daisy found twine six times for the Owls and added two assists in the 16-4 win. Teammates Hannah Dworkin and Shannon Weisensee picked up their first goals of the season in the win.
- Goalkeeper Haley Terva turned out another great performance for KSC allowing just four goals on 22 shots faced in the 49 minutes on the afternoon while making six saves. Keene State is 5-0 on the season when Terva allows nine goals or fewer on the season.
- Madelyn Cote and Kimberly McCarthy both picked up two goals on the afternoon for Castleton in the loss. McCarthy continued to add to her team lead, now with 24 goals on the season. Cote picks up her second and third on the season.
- Keene State has won 18/19 matchups with Castleton all time, including winning their last six.
