NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass.--The Keene State College cross country teams resumed action after a week's hiatus at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday morning.
Women's Results
Grace Furlong was 50th overall in a field of 234 runners, covering the 5K course in 19:40.30.  Freshman
Sarah Ames was just behind her, in 52nd, with a time of 19:41.50, while
Hannah Jones (139th, 21:10.70),
Aurora Couto (143rd, 21:18.50), and
Juliana Yialiades (186th, 22:52.30) completed the Owl top five.
Also on the course for KSC were Sara Cristian (192nd, 23:10.60),
Rhea Votano (196th, 23:22.40),
Anna Logan (201st, 23:35.70), and
Melanie French (223rd, 26:53.10).  As a team, the Owls were 17th out of 30 competitors, and the fastest finishing Little East Conference school, beating Eastern Conn. State (18th), UMass Dartmouth (19th), Plymouth State (22nd), Southern Maine (25th), and UMass Boston (27th).  Eastern Connecticut State is the defending Little East Conference champion, having won the conference title in 2019.
WPI claimed the team title with 68 points, while Wellesley's Ari Marks won the individual race in 17:38.90.
Men's Results
Jacob Pearl was the first Owl across the line in 58th place in 26:14.20 on the 8K course. Â
Rob St. Laurent was 84th in 26:36.70, and
Zander Egervari was 164th in 28:21.00.Â
Ben Harley (175th, 28:47.80) and Cameron Giordano rounded out the top five KSC runners.
Clayton Rodgers (210th, 30:08.60), Sam Hennedy (220th, 30:44.20),
Ted Rockwell (234th, 32:02.50), and
Peter Daugherty-Miller (34.52.40), also took the course for KSC, which finished 24th out of 33 teams.
Division I UMass Lowell was the overall team champion; Trinity College (Conn.) was the highest finishing Division III school, second overall. Suffolk's Matyas Csiki-Fejer was the individual winner in 23:36.30.
The Owls are off until October 2, when they will host the Keene State College Invitational.
