Jacob Pearl unofficially qualified for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships with a 17th place overall finish at the NCAA Regional Race at Pickard Field, hosted by Bowdoin College, on Saturday.
Pearl covered the 8K course in 25:49.9 to earn All-Region honors.  While the official NCAA qualifiers will be revealed on Sunday, Pearl would seem to have a good shot based on prior history.  In 2021, the 28th place runner at the New England NCAA Regional qualified for the full championship.
Ben Harley (135th, 29:58.8), Tyler Robinson (174th, 31:26.10, and Ethan Holcomb (191st, 32:16.5) also ran for KSC.
Tyler Morris of Colby College won the race in 24:55.6; MIT had six of the top 10 runners to win the event and punch a ticket to the NCAA Championships, which will take place on November 19 at the Forest Akers Golf Course in Lansing, Mich.
On the women's side, junior Maggie St. John also earned All-Region honors by finishing 33rd overall in 23:27.8. Â
Grace Furlong was 43rd in 23:42.5, and Anna O'Reilly was 66th in 24:37.0. Aurora Couto (74th, 24:45.6),
Hannah Jones (98th, 25:24.1),
Sara Christian (125th, 26:12.6), and Alana Perry (129th, 26:26.6) rounded out the Owl runners, giving Keene State a 10th place finish as a team.
MIT also won the women's title with three of the top 10 runners and 36 points. Bates' Jillian Richardson won the individual title in 21:41.1
