EAST LANSING, Mich.--Senior Jacob Pearl became the first Keene State runner in seven years to compete at the NCAA Division III Championships at the Forest Akers East Golf Course on Saturday.

Racing on a course that had five inches of snow on it 24 hours earlier, Pearl covered the 8K course in 28:03.6, finishing 284th overall.   

"This wasn't the race Jake wanted, but it sets him up well for indoor season," said head coach Dan Roark.  "It was a great opportunity to see the atmosphere at the national level and we're looking forward to the next opportunity."
