MIDDLEBURY, Vt.--The Keene State College track and field team tuned up for the Little East Conference championships at the Middlebury College Track and Field meet on Saturday at Virtue Field House.
Women's Highlights
- Aurora Couto finished sixth in the 800 meters, in 2:42.90.
- Couto, Juliana Yialiades, Sarah Ames, and Hannah Jones finished the distance medley relay in 14:42.57.
- Meanwhile, down in Boston, Shannon Parks competed at the BU Valentine Invitational; she threw the shot put 12.22 meters and the weight 14.19 meters.
- Keene State seventh out of eight teams on the day, with 15 points.
Men's Highlights
- Ted Rockwell finished sixth in the 400 meters, in 55.49.
- Zander Egervari was fifth in the 800 meters, in 2:10.55.
- Jake Pearl was third in the mile, in 4:30.79.
- Pearl, along with Cameron Giordano, Dawson Hamele, and Sam Hennedy were third in the 4x400 meter relay.
- Dawson Hamele was second in the high jump, at 1.85 meters.
- Keene State was sixth out of eight teams, with 32 points.
Keene State returns to action next week at the LEC Championships, at the University of Southern Maine.
