Keene State Athletic Department Announces Annual Year-End Awards

KEENE, N.H. - The Keene State College Department of Athletics announced the major end-of-year award winners for the 2021-2022 academic year in a ceremony Monday at Spaulding Gymnasium.

Shane Molloy of men's lacrosse was named the Senior Male Athlete of the Year, becoming the second athlete from that program to take home the award in the last three years and fourth since 2015.

Brigid Casey was named the Senior Female Athlete of the Year, becoming the first women's lacrosse player to earn that honor since dual-sport athlete Michelle Mason, who also played women's soccer, won it in 2005.

Victoria Reynolds (women's soccer) took home the Senior Female Scholar athlete of the year, while Tyler Young (men's swimming & diving) and Brian Reese (men's lacrosse) were co-winners on the men's side.

Trent Mayer was honored with the Erin Dallas Life Challenge Award, which is awarded on special occasions to an athlete who overcomes and perseveres through challenges.

The Theta chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, founded at KSC in 2017, also inducted their 28 new members for the 2021-2022 school year:  Patrick McKeighan, Nathaniel Hudson, Trent Mayer, Josh Beayon, Lucas McClanahan, Gregory Esposito, Ethan Holcomb, Cooper Cioffi, Leah Pelkey, Samantha Adamson, Michelle LaBonte, Grace Furlong, Grace Hallett, Sara Cote, Kate Fisher, Faith Barbieri, Amanda Marshall, Kayleigh Marshall, Amy Perna, Charlotte Drake, Rachel Spear, Jaelin Jang, Patsy Ciampi, Emily Rogers, Paige Carey, Brianna Feldman, Sydney Johnson, and Sarah Williams.
