NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Keene State College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Smith College Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Men's Results
Ethan Holcomb was the first Owl across the line on the 8K course, finishing in 44th place in 18:47.4.
Tyler Robinson was next in 48th place in 19:25.2, followed by
Samuel Hennedy (53rd, 20:21.1),
Ted Rockwell (61st, 22:32.6), and
Michael Gigliotti (63rd, 23:40.4).
Keene State placed sixth as a team, while Walter Wagude of Tufts was the individual winner in 15:47.6, and the Jumbos took the team event with 30 points, placing six of the top 10 runners.
Women's Results
Maggie St. John finished 17th in the 5K event, in 20:41.9, and
Anna O'Reilly was next, in 21:15.1, for 26th place.
Aurora Couto (31st, 21:30.5),
Alana Perry (44th, 22:18.0),
Sara Christian (49th, 22:57.3), and
Kailyn Fleury (51st, 23:03.3), were next, and
Juliana Yialiades (57th, 23:59.6), Sara Ames (68th, 24:56.5), and
Autumn Boisvert (80th, 26:30.1) finished out the Owl lineup.
The Owls were fourth of six teams, while the host Pioneers won the team race with 21 points, and six of the top 10 runners. Smith's Laurel Kruger was the individual winner, in 19:18.7.
