How it Happened
As a part of the Senior Day festivities, Keene State honored seniors
Emma Rochefort,
Jackie DeAngelis,
Haile Ratajack and
Mindy St. Marie before the game. Once the contest began, the Owls scored early and often. St. Marie assisted on the opening goal of the game from sophomore attacker
Lola Smith 37 seconds into the game. Junior attacker
Hannah Dworkin then followed up with an unassisted goal at 11:09. Then the seniors for the Owls took over. St. Marie scored at 3:55, before Ratajack closed out the first quarter with two goals.
St. Marie and Ratajack, the two leading goal scorers for the Owls, each scored another goal in the second quarter. Meanwhile, freshman midfielder
Tess Brown scored twice in the frame. Keene State went into halftime up 9-0.
The Owls emerged from the break with another five goals in the third quarter. Ratajack scored twice more, while St. Marie, DeAngelis and freshman midfielder
Riley Devine each scored once. Rhode Island College opened the fourth with its only goal of the game. After that, St. Marie, DeAngelis and Dworkin each scored again to bring the Owls to their sixth victory in their last nine games.
