KEENE, N.H.—The Keene State College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the appointment of Travis Wyant as the next head coach for the Owls' women's lacrosse program.
Wyant served as the interim coach in 2023, guiding the Owls to an 8-11 record and a 4-3 mark in the Little East Conference. The Owls earned the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament and reached the semifinals.
"Keene State has enriched my life tremendously in the past couple of years, and being able to carry on in this position is yet another opportunity for me to contribute to this amazing community," said Wyant.
"I would like to express my gratitude to the search committee and the Athletics Leadership Team for believing in me. Working with these athletes has been incredibly fulfilling, they are resilient, motivated, and supportive. I am excited to continue evolving together with these remarkable young women."
This year, senior Haile Ratajack earned First Team All-LEC honors as well as IWLCA Second Team All-Region honors. Joining her on the All-LEC First Team was junior defender Elle Lyons, while junior attack Hannah Dworkin was named to the All-LEC Second Team and junior Alexis Phyllides was named to the All-LEC Sportsmanship team.
"Travis impressed the search committee with his work ethic, attitude, and constant desire to learn and improve," said Keene State Assistant Athletic Director Abe Osheyack. "We look forward to seeing how he will improve the Owls within the Little East Conference. On behalf of the leadership committee, we are looking forward to having him as part of the staff on a permanent basis."
Wyant will officially begin his duties on July 31.
