Rocket League Varsity

After finishing 6-3 in the regular season in the Varsity Premier level in Playfly College Esports (the highest level of collegiate competition), Keene State's Varsity Rocket League team qualified for postseason play, snagging the fourth and final seed in the East Conference. The top four of Varsity Premier East and Varsity Premier Mixed (Central and West) now combine for an 8 team bracket. In Round 1, the Owls take on the Cougars of Washington State University, who finished the regular season 9-0 in Playfly's Varsity Premier Mixed conference, good for the number one overall seed.

With a win, the Owls would move onto the semifinals, where the winner of Rochester Institute of Technology (Orange) and Robert Morris University (Blue) would await them.

This is KSC Rocket League Varsity's second trip to national post-season play. Last season, the inaugural KSC Rocket League Varsity team advanced to Varsity Plus semifinals, losing to the eventual conference champions Kettering University.

Rocket League Academy
One of two new teams added to Keene State Esports in the Fall '24 season, Rocket League Academy finished the regular season with an undefeated 6-0 record, the first such season in program history. Owing to their regular season success, Rocket League Academy was granted a first round BYE in Playfly's Varsity Mixed 3 Conference, getting an automatic bid in the semifinals. The Owls will await the winner of UToledo Rocket League Gold and Wayland Baptist University, both division-mates of Rocket League Academy, and both of whom were felled by KSC in 3-1 series.

Overwatch 2

KSC Overwatch became the second team in program history to submit an undefeated regular season, doing so in Playfly College Esports' East 2 Conference, going 6-0. In those six victories, the Owls swept five matchups 3-0, losing one map all season, which occurred in Week 3 versus Ferris State University, a series in which the Owls won 3-1.

In round 1, KSC Overwatch takes on the Llamas of Neumont College of Computer Science. The Lllamas went 3-3 in Playfly's Mixed 2 Conference and are a team KSC has yet to play this season. With a win, the Owls would advance to the conference semifinals, where they would play the winner of Colorado College and Camden County College, the latter of which the Owls defeated last week to seal their undefeated campaign.

This is KSC Overwatch's second national playoff appearance; they lost in the quarterfinals in Varsity Plus East 6 Conference to conference runner ups Nichols College in their inaugural season.

VALORANT

KSC VALORANT, the newest title offered by Keene State Esports, concluded their first season with a 4-3 record, securing the fourth seed in Playfly's Mixed 5 Conference. Rather than combining with another conference like the aforementioned titles, KSC VALORANT's playoff structure is self contained, and the top 6 teams in their conference have now formed a bracket to determine the season champion. As such, KSC as the fourth seed will be taking on the fifth seed Coffeyville Community College. KSC VALORANT wrapped up their regular season versus CCC last week, winning 2-0 in a three match series.

With a win, KSC VALORANT would move onto the conference semifinals and take on California State University Dominguez Hills, who earned a first round BYE following an undefeated 7-0 season, including a 2-0 victory over the Owls in Week 5.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Keene State Super Smash Bros. concluded their Fall '24 campaign with a 3-5 record, narrowly missing the playoffs by one game in Playfly College Esports' East 1 Conference. Despite missing postseason play, KSC SSBU boasted many highlights throughout the season, including a decisive 2-0 victory over Columbia International University in Week 7.

Had they earned a playoff berth, it would've been Keene State Super Smash Bros.' second appearance.
