How it Happened
King K Rool for the Seawolves kicked off the action in game one in the best of three series, by taking one of Palutena's (TheGingerLad) stocks. After Palutena responded by taking a stock from King K Rool, K Rool took the remaining two stocks from Palutena, giving the Owls only nine stocks remaining in game one. Sour entered next for the Owls as he entered as King R Rool, as well. King K Rool from SBU continued to dominate, as they took all three of Sours' stocks, while only losing one of their own, as the Seawolves had 10 stocks left, compared to only six remaining for the Owls. Next up for KSC was Tadpole, who entered as Min Min, as they looked to finally take King K Rool's final stock. It looked like K Rool was going to continue their tear to open game one, as they took two of Tadpole's stocks, but Tadpole was finally able to finish K Rool off, with one of their stocks remaining. Donkey Kong entered next for the Seawolves and promptly took Tadpole's final stock, leaving KSC with three stocks remaining in game one. Byleth entered to take on Donkey Kong from the Seawolves, but unfortunately for the Owls, they were only able to take a single stock from Donkey Kong before losing the rest of theirs, as SBU took game one with eight stocks remaining.
In game two Diddy Kong kicked it off for SBU, while Ginger started as Palutena again for the Owls. Ginger lost two stocks before they were able to take one of Diddy Kong's, but Diddy Kong answered right back by taking Ginger's final stock. Sour entered this time for the Owls as Piranha Plant and he was able to take a stock from Diddy Kong right away, before losing one of his own. Sour lost one more stock to Diddy Kong, before taking their final stock, bringing SBU's stock count to nine remaining, to just seven from the Owls. Banjo & Kazooie entered next for the Seawolves, took Sour's final stock, and continued to take all three of Ness' stocks, leaving just three stocks from Tadpole as Corrin left for the Owls. Corrin was able to take one stock from Bajo & Kazooie, but they responded by taking all three of Tadpole's as the Seawolves won game two, with eight stocks remaining, giving them a 2-0 series win on the day.
