KEENE, N.H. – After a win in Rocket League Monday night for Keene State Esports, they looked to kick off Overwatch 2 with a win against a tough Lindenwood University team. After a tough fought match, the Lions were able to take down the Owls, 3-0.

How it Happened
In the first game, Control on Lijiang Tower, the Lions took the first point in the best of three. Just as they looked for the 2-0 win, the Owls retook the point and prevented Lindenwood from getting the easy win, as they were at 98% on capturing the point. In the third round, Lindenwood was able to prevail and take game one.
In the second game, Hybrid on King's Row, Lindenwood was on offense first and was able to capture all the points with 3:50 remaining on the clock. Keene State was unable to best the Lions on their turn attacking, as Lindenwood would hold on defense and take game two.
Game three consisted of Flashpoint on Suravasa, as Keene State was looking to take three of the five points to win the game and hopefully force another game in the series. After the Owls were able to take the first point, the Lions answered by taking the next three points and winning the game and series overall.

Keene State's next contest for Overwatch 2 will come next Tuesday at a time TBA against Nichols College on Tuesday, February 13.
The next Esports contest for the Owls will be on Thursday, February 8, as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate kicks off, against Farmingdale State at 7:00 PM.
