PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Two Keene State College student-athletes honored by the Little East Conference for their achievements accomplished for the week of October 20-26.
Women's Soccer
Junior defender
Elise Saab (Hooksett, N.H.) was named the Defensive Player of the Week from her lockdown defense for the Owls across their two games on the week which they went 2-0 and improved to 6-0-2 in their past eight games and 3-0-4 in LEC play. Saab played a full 90 minutes in each of the Owls' wins on the week, as she helped the Owls limit Plymouth State University to six shots in the contest when PSU had averaged 11 shots per game on the season. In the Owls' 2-1 win on senior day at home, Saab picked up her first point on the year as she tallied an assist to
Keely Giordano for the opening goal of the game.
Saab and the Owls return to action on the road at Vermont State Castleton University on Wednesday, October 29, at 7:00 PM as the Owls look to secure a first-round bye in the LEC tournament with a win and potentially the top overall seed.
