New and Old Faces Take Home Weekly LEC Awards

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the second week in a row, four Keene State College student-athletes were honored by the Little East Conference for their achievements accomplished for the week of 9/8-9/14.
 
Field Hockey
 
Senior forward Grace Bazin (Westminster, Vt.) was named the LEC Offensive Player of the Week for the third week in a row to open the 2025 season as she continued her impressive start to the season that helped lead KSC to their 6-0 start. Over the Owls' three games on the week, Bazin recorded six goals and an assist for 13 points on the week, bring her season total to 13 goals and three assists for 29 points as she is nearly already halfway to her 59 points from her 2024 season. In the first game of the week at New England College after scoring the Owls' first and only penalty strike goal of the season, Bazin picked up an assist on the overtime game-winning goal. She followed that performance up with a pair of goals in KSC's win over Westfield State University and by scoring three of the teams' four goals in their 4-0 homecoming game win over Fitchburg State University.
 
Bazin and the Owls return to action at Western New England University on Wednesday, September 17, at 7:00 PM as the Owls look to end their two-game losing streak to the Golden Bears.
 
 
Women's Soccer
 
Senior defender Giuliana Stolfi (Newington, Conn.) was named the LEC Defensive Player of the Week from playing every minute on defense for the Owls over their two games on the week where they only allowed one goal and went 1-0-1. In each of the games on the week, Stolfi had a defensive save for the Owls as she cleared a goal off the line against Westfield State University in the 83rd minute to preserve the 1-0 win. Against Eastern Connecticut State University Stolfi had another defensive save early in the contest to clear the ball off the line as KSC was able to come back to tie ECSU 1-1 for a point in the LEC standings.
 
Senior goalkeeper Riley Andriski (Newmarket, N.H.) was named the LEC Goalkeeper of the Week from her dominant week for the Owls in net. Andriski locked down the Owls' opponents over the week with 12 saves with a seven-save shutout against WSU and a five-save performance against ECSU. Andriski's save percentage over the week was .923 after making 12 saves on 13 shots faced and just allowing one goal for a GAA of .50.
 
Stolfi, Andriski, and the Owls return to action on the road against Colby-Sawyer College on Tuesday, September 16, at 7:00 PM as the Owls look to make it four consecutive contests in a row without a defeat over the Chargers.
 
Women's Golf
 
Freshman Sadie Murray (Hampton, Conn.) was named the LEC Rookie of the Week from her first collegiate competition for the Owls. Murray shot an 85 (+15) on the day as she finished for a tie in sixth place individually with her teammate Madi Mousley for KSC in their opening competition of the year at the Westfield State University Fall Invitational. Murray helped the Owls finish third as a team of the six teams competing with a score of 360. The Owls as a team improved on their best team score in the few years as a program thus far by 17 strokes, besting their mark of 377 at the Wenham Country Club in April of 2024.
 
Murray and the Owls return to action at the University of Southern Maine Invitational on Sunday, September 21, at 1:00 PM.
