KEENE, N.H. – The Keene State College athletic department named Tyler Bolaske of the men's cross country team and Cole Madden of the men's golf team this week's Owl Athletes of the Week. This week's selection encompassed action from October 12 through October 18.
 
Tyler Bolaske, a junior from Palmer, Massachusetts, continued to make strides for the Owls this week at the Connecticut College Invitational, as he also took home the Little East Conference Runner of the Week. Out of the over 240 runners in the 8K field, Bolaske finished in fourth place, running a new personal record of 24:08.0, besting her previous best by 17.9 seconds from a year ago at the same race where he ran a 24:25.9. Bolaske led the Owls on the day as the team placed 13th out of the 26 teams competing in the nationally competitive field.
 
Cole Madden, a freshman from Hanover, Massachusetts, earned an All-LEC Second Team selection on the week as he finished tied for tenth at the LEC Championships at the Mohegan Sun Golf Club hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University. Madden excelled in the second day of competition, shooting a career-best 72, the third-best score on the day as he moved up 10 spots on the leaderboard from after his performance on the first day. On the front nine on the second day, Madden shot one under from three birdies, shooting a 34 and improving by six shots from a day before as he totaled four birdies on the day overall on day two.
