Dedicated, talented and driven senior who has become the most honored and successful men’s swimmer at Keene State College…one of the top long-distance free style swimmers in Division III….a six-time All-America, who earned three All-America honors with his second place finish in the 1,650 and four place finish in the 500 and as a member of the Owl 800 free relay team that placed eighth at last year’s NCAA Championships…holds six individual school records in the 200 free (1:38.70), the 500 free (4:27.64), the 1000 free (9:14.94), the 1,650 free (15:18.70), 200 fly (1:51.50) and the 400 IM (3:59.16)…also a member of record-setting 800 free relay (6:36.65).
As junior: Earned All-America in three events a the nationals, placing second in the 1,650 and fourth in the 500 and as a member of 800 free relay team that placed fourth…also placed 17th in the 400 IM….had an outstanding meet at the NEISDA championships, winning the 500 and 1,650 free races and help the owl win the 400 medley relay and the 800 free relay…his performance earned him Division III swimmer of the week honors.
As a sophomore: Swam to All-America honors with his second-place finish in the 1,650 and fifth –place finish in the 500 free at NCAA championships…earned honorable mention All-America recognition as a member of Owl 200, 400, and 800 free relays…named NEISDA male swimmer of the meet after winning 400 IM, 500 and 1,650 free races and as a member of winning 200, 400 and 800 free relays and 400 medley relay at New England championships.
As a freshman…placed third in the 1650-free at NCAA Championships to become and All-American…set multiple records for the Owls swimming a number of different events… broke three meet records at the NEISDA Championships..500-free (4:32.01), 1000-free (9:20.02), 1650-free (15:30.16)…also placed first as part of the 500-free relay team…
Before KSC…began swimming for the Keene Dolphins and has also competed for the Greenwood Swim Club where he made his first age group cut last year and won zone races in the 800 and 1,500 this season....earned MVP honors swimming first at Monadnock Regional and later at Keene High School...as a junior won the state championship in the 500 freestyle...Drew is an exercise science major.
