Keene State College

Second-year cross country runner expected to be race with the varsity this season...will also compete on the track, racing in the mile, 1,500 and 3K indoors and the 1,500 and 3K during the spring season....Cross Country: Competed in the 2008 season, posting a season-best time of 27:34 in the UMass-Dartmouth sub-varsity race....Track:   Set several personal best times during the 2010-11 season....set a PR in the 5K, placing fourth (15:58.69) at the LEC Alliance championship...set a PR in the mile (4:36.13) at Harvard and a 3K PR (9:06) at Tufts...top outdoor 5K mark of 15:57.24 was set at Springfield College...Before KSC:  Attended NHTI in Concord prior to enrolling at KSC....ran cross country and track as a junior and senior at Prospect Mountian Regional High School...as a senior, finished 12th at Class M&S meet and qualified for the Meet of Championships where he ran 17:35....posted a qualifying time for the state championship in the 1,000-meter race....outdoors, placed second in the 800 (2:01) at the Class M&S meet and seventh at the Meet of Champions...Father George Stevens is a 1983 KSC grad....sister Katie was a standout soccer player for the Owls....George is a computer-mathmatic major, who has a part-time IT job working for the Clark Mortenson Agency in Keene.
