Biography
Senior runner looking to complete his Keene State career with a healthy and productive season on the trals and track….would like to break the 26 minute mark in cross country….will concentrate on the 800 and the mile races on the track.
2012-13: Cross Country: Worked to get back into shape after taking some time off….placed 16th (29:04) at KSC Invitational…posted a time of 28:23 at the LEC Championships…was Keene State’s fourth man (28:47) at the ECAC championships….Indoor Track: Earned All-New England Division III honors with the Owl 4x800 team that placed fifth (8:02.88)…a member of KSC’s winning 4x800 relay (8:06.22) at the LEC Championship also placed fifth in the mile (5:31.78)… joined KSC DMR squad that qualified for All-New England Championship…Outdoor Track: Posted a time of 2:00.58 in the 800 at the LEC Championships and a time of 4:19.96 in the 1,500 at Mount Holyoke.
2011-12: Cross Country: Ram a few early season meet, posting a time of 17:05 at the KSC Alumni meet and a 28:51 at the Maine Invitational…Indoor Track: Ran a time of 1:30.41 in the 600 at Tufts and a time of 2:09.71 in the 800 at Dartmouth…Outdoor Track: Posted a season best time of 2:04.83 in the 800 at the Springfield Invitational.
2010-11: Cross Country: Top freshman performances included a 29:26 in the UMass-Dartmouth sub-varsity race and a 30:26 at the LEC Championships…Track: Posted a time of 2:53.11 in the 1,000 at the Wesleyan Invitational and a 1:29.74 in the 600 at the Smith College Winter Classic….Outdoors: best 800 time of 2:04.83 was recorded at the Springfield College Invitational.
Before KSC: Ran four years of cross country and three seasons of track for the Blackbirds…set a PR (17:45) on home course as a senior….did the 400, 800 and mile on the track for KHS….4x800 team qualified for the Meet of the Champions…
Personal: Mother Lauren works in the marketing and communications department at KSC…Sister (Kayla) ran track at Keene High …Jay is majoring in sustainable product design with a studio art minor.
