Joins older brother Dante on the KSC track team…second-year thrower who’s expected to improve after a solid freshman season…his impact will be felt in the weight throw during the indoors and the discus in the spring season…a  very talented, athletic thrower, just needs some molding… he is improving week by week. 

As a freshman:  Indoors: Posted top shot put mark (12.43m) and weight throw mark (12.41m) at the Dartmouth Indoor Classic…finished fifth in the shot at LEC Championship (12.03m)….Outdoors:  Top shot throw of 11.95 came at Conn. College…posted a mark of 35.94m in the discus at the LEC meet and a mark of 34.29m in the hammer at Mount Holyoke.

Before KSC: Arrived at Keene State after a standout scholastic career at Longmeadow (Mass.) High where he did track and played football…set school’s shot put record (44’-4.75”) against Ludlow and discus record (136’-3”) at the Western Mass. Championships as a junior…top shot mark as a senior was 43’-10” against Amherst and best discus mar of 134’ came against Ludlow…won shot at Pioneer Valley meet (47’-8”)…qualified for Mass. State meet as a junior and senior in the shot, placing 9th (46’-02”) as a senior… DeVaughn is a safety studies major.
